Our engineering process

TCT supply custom products across a variety of Industries with a key focus on Renewables, HVAC, Military and Construction.

Our manufacturing process allows us to customize our products to our customer’s exact specifications. All of our compression molded rubber products can be customized with your company’s logo, molding in hardware or even colored paper. In addition to making changes to existing products, TCT can also create custom products for customers. Using our advanced manufacturing process, we are able to create prototype molds on-site for testing new products as well as manufacturing large-scale production molds with partner fabricators to support volume manufacturing of units.

Customised Manufacturing

At TCT, our customised manufacturing starts when a customer either issues us a drawing or Solid Model CAD file, or works with us to create their custom solution. TCT work with customers who want to re-design an existing product in a sustainable material, alter a current design or have a new product offering. Once the product design is agreed TCT will upload this into our CAD system and review it to make sure that we are able to manufacture the product using compression molded rubber as well as determining the best way to create the prototype mold and required lead time.
After we have had time to review the design and answer the above questions, we provide the customer with prototype pricing, expected delivery times, and the cost per piece made. In some cases, TCT is capable of producing the mold in-house, eliminating the cost of outside vendors. After this is agreed upon by the customer, the prototype tooling is manufactured and initial production runs (under 100 pieces) are run.

This gives both TCT and the customer time to examine and make any changes to the product before the final production molds are manufactured. Throughout the whole process, we make sure that the customer is fully informed about where we are in the process, along with sending pictures and product samples.

When a design is approved that both TCT and a customer agree upon, metal production tooling is ordered and TCT completes the New Product Introduction. Once we have received an initial production order from the customer, the product has finally reached the production stage.

Since 2004 TCT has specialised in compression molding. It’s US manufacturing facility, based in Latham, New York State, operates a wide range of press sizes and has a wealth of experience in rubber crumb mixes and mold designs which enables TCT to produce a very wide range of products for our customers.

TCT expanded their operations with a manufacturing facility in Poland in 2019. The facility occupies an area of 30,000 m2, of which 2,500m2 is under roof.

Together these facilities are capable of fulfilling low, medium and high-volume needs and give TCT the ability to grow with our customers, from samples to millions of parts per year. Our shops run 24/7 and are each capable of processing over 6,000,000 pounds of rubber annually.
