Tire Conversion Technologies Inc. Appoints New President / CEO

On January 12, 2011 TCT Board Chairman, Walter Robb, appointed Garen Szablewski President and CEO of Tire Conversion Technologies, Inc.  Szablewski will have overall management responsibility for manufacturing, marketing, planning, strategy as well as operational and financial activities.  Szablewski comes to TCT with over 20 years of executive management experience.  Most recently Szablewski was President and CEO of the Albany River Rats, an American Hockey League team that operated for 17 years in Albany, New York. Prior to the River Rats, Szablewski was President / CEO of Lawrence General Corporation in Schenectady, New York.  At Lawrence General Corporation, Szablewski was responsible for the day to day management of five separate companies ranging from construction services, properties management, commercial printing to professional sports management.

"I am excited about this new opportunity and I want to thank Mr. Robb and the TCT Board for having the confidence in me to lead their company into the future. We will start by looking at ways to streamline our manufacturing process but then quickly move to a focus on marketing and other strategies to grow our business” Szablewski said.

Szablewski, a lifelong Capital District resident, lives in Burnt Hills, New York with his wife Marcia.  They have two sons, Ryan, age 24 and Timothy, age 19.
